Today I've been struggling with some bugs in Pigeon. Implementing new features always means new challenges, especially when you're building on another API.
I usually try to run in the morning, after some coffee.
But these nagging bugs kept popping up, and I kept putting off my run.
"Once I get this one thing solved, I'll go on my run".
"Just one more thing, and I'll finally go"
Hours later and I'm still stressing and not figuring things out.
Finally, I just said "OK, I'm gonna go and things will be fine."
On the run, I solved all the issues in my head. And for issues that aren't solvable today, I accepted them and they just stopped feeling like such a big deal.
Running is the answer. Or just "a break" is the answer. Take a walk, call a friend, run 5 miles.
